Group Classes

We have several offerings throughout the week for adults and seniors.  Its our goal at Indra’s Grace to meet you where you are in your practice. We have classes for all levels and all ages.

Senior and Gentle Hatha Yoga:  (Mondays and Fridays at 10:00AM, Wednesdays at 10:30AM)

We offer Senior and Gentle Hatha Yoga Mondays and Fridays at 10:00AM.  Improve your strength, flexibility, and mobility through standing or seated yoga poses specially adapted for seniors (55 and older) at any level of health and fitness. Chairs and props are provided to keep everyone safe and supported.  Indra’s Grace teachers focus on helping students improve circulation, breath awareness and breath capacity, strength, stability, and flexibility.  We teach a simplified routines that allow seniors to work at their own pace. Students will use the wall for added support, stability, and assistance.

Chair Yoga: (Mondays 2:00PM)

Have you tried yoga and given up because you couldn’t get down to the floor?  Have you had knee or hip replacement and find yoga painful or uncomfortable?  Are you “not as young as you used to be” and want to work on ways of regaining strength and flexibility?  Maybe none of these apply to you but you are a caregiver for someone who falls into one of these categories. In this class you will learn ways to modify traditional yoga poses for someone who is sitting in a chair. Yoga done in a chair will help build strength, endurance, balance and stamina just like traditional yoga does. Whether you are sitting or standing, yoga will help clear your mind of mental clutter, improve your concentration, and calm and steady your emotions. In addition, yoga expands your awareness, encourages peacefulness and connects your mind, body, and spirit.

These classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday class are offered at special pricing. Drop in $12, 4 class pass $40, and 12 class pass $108. Come join our community for a fun, healing, and uplifting environment.

Level I – Hatha Yoga: 

A great class for any level of yoga practitioner, and very appropriate for beginners. It is an asana practice that consists of clear instruction in basic yoga postures, alignment, and yogic principles. This is different than gentle yoga, in that it is meant to be basic, not necessarily easy. During these sessions you will learn the basics of Hatha Yoga, which utilizes a gentle flow of poses to improve proper alignment and breathing techniques in order to increase strength, stamina and improve flexibility. Please join us and empower yourself with this self-regulating practice for stress relief!  You will leave feeling class relaxed, rejuvenated, and restored in mind, body, and spirit.

Level 1-2 – Hatha Yoga: 

Level 1-2 Hatha classes are multi-level, where thoughtful class planning, sequencing, pose modifications, and often, props, help to deepen and facilitate your yoga experience. Teachers will offer modifications for beginners and more challenging variations for more advanced students as well.  Elements of meditation and pranayama will also be focused on in hatha classes, making them truly well-rounded opportunities to learn and explore your yoga practice.

Level 1 – Indra’s Grace Yoga

Indra’s Grace Yoga (IGY) is a holistic approach to Yoga. IGY is a unique and special offering by owner Sandra Vanatko that will draw from several traditions. Sandra intuits class energy and creates the perfect experience for students. These classes are often filled with intuitive hatha Yoga sequencing and pranayama.  Level 1 is the perfect place for beginners to start!  Those looking beyond Hatha Yoga for the more subtle effects of Yoga practice are welcome to join at any level.

Level 1-2  – Indra’s Grace Yoga

Indra’s Grace Yoga (IGY) is a holistic approach to Yoga. IGY is a unique and special offering by owner Sandra Vanatko that will draw from several traditions. Sandra intuits class energy and creates the perfect experience for students. These classes are often filled with intuitive hatha Yoga sequencing and pranayama.  Level 1-2 welcomes all levels of practitioners and builds on Level 1 classes. In addition, variations and modifications will be given to students so they can move at their own pace.

Level 2  – Indra’s Grace Yoga

Indra’s Grace Yoga (IGY) is a holistic approach to Yoga. IGY is a unique and special offering by owner Sandra Vanatko that will draw from several traditions. Sandra intuits class energy and creates the perfect experience for students. These classes are challenging and sequenced for the seasoned Yoga practitioner.  They are often filled with intuitive hatha Yoga sequencing and pranayama.
These classes are designed to awaken each student to their higher nature. They offer a potent combination of physical posture (asana), breath work (pranayama), meditation, and mantra. They increase strength, stability, flexibility, and build vitality and create mental clarity.  IGY serves students and teachers at every level of experience. For the beginner it provides a complete picture and powerful pathway to personal development. For the seasoned practitioner it offers an advanced users manual for the mind body system.  Choose between Level 1, Level 1-2, and Level 2.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan classes combine various yogic practices synergistically and sequentially to activate our inner healing potential. We will explore the inner dimensions of Yoga and build the courage, grit, equanimity,  joy and strength to heal ourselves and our lives. Appropriate for everyone, at any and All Levels of experience with Yoga.  Come ready to connect to your inner healer through kriya, pranayama, asana, movement, meditation, music and mantra.

Level 1-2 Hatha Flow: 

These classes are beautifully designed to utilize classical therapeutic methods of Hatha Yoga, combined with long holds to slowly open the body and then moving students into a fun, dynamic flow of movement to release any tension or residue left within the body and/or mind. This class is to help students really connect with breath and body to “release the garbage” and to “receive the gift” of what Yoga has to offer us. Each class will be set to a mindful music playlist, a message for contemplation/integration and attuning you to places in your body that you may be ignoring by releasing yourself from accumulated daily stresses.

Healing Breath: (Workshops)

A life changing pranic breathing technique that will clear subconscious patterning, shift core beliefs and physical imbalances. It will connect you to the deepest part of your spirit and free you to follow the path of your heart. The practice of “Healing Breath” is deeply cathartic and healing and a powerful path towards health, happiness and wholeness.

This safe paradigm is ideally suited for those seeking greater psychological opening as well as an expanded spiritual dimension to their lives. The workshop is open to people who have never experienced Healing Breath as well as those who have been in previous classes. Because it can be both gentle and powerful, this method has been useful for those just beginning transformational work as well as those already comfortable with the deeper realms of their inner selves.

Restorative Yoga:  (Monthly Workshops)

Restorative yoga is a gentle form of yoga that uses props (bolsters/blocks/blankets) to encourage a deep state of relaxation in body and mind. The guiding principle of this practice is that support creates release in the body. The aim in all of the poses is the same – relaxation – letting go of long held tension in the body and mind through surrender to the pose. Restorative yoga can help relieve the effects of chronic stress and moves the spine in all directions to promote greater well-being. In this series of restful postures, we will “re-boot” and balance the nervous system, creating the perfect environment for healing. As we progress through the practice, muscles remain quiet and breathing deep, smooth and regular – helping to lower blood pressure and heart rate, loosen up joints and ease bones.
