Nancy Deison

There are lots of reasons to love yoga. Here are a few of favorites according to Nancy:

• Yoga is mindful movement with breath. That is a challenge I can work on every day.
• Yoga is quiet. (Unless we do a little screaming.) I do crave the absence of noise pollution.
• The benefits of a yoga practice have been scientifically proven. The more I learn about yoga the more I appreciate its brilliance.
• I like the emphasis on peace and harmony in class and in my life.
• I like people who like yoga. It is fun to participate in a community.
• I appreciate the accessibility of yoga. I am not dependent on time, place or another person. I can do yoga every day.
• When I am taking a class with a teacher I love and admire, yoga tells me I am my own best teacher.
• When I am teaching a class I appreciate each student. I am grateful to observe another’s learning process.
• Yoga is best practiced every day. Routine suits me.
• Yoga makes me smile. Some of the poses are awkward. Some are irritating. Others are totally impossible today. When I do a beautiful headstand with my grandchildren I have to laugh because I have never done a beautiful headstand in a class.
• The “Ego Eradicator” is a great reason to love yoga.
• Yoga tells us to do our best. Our best is enough. I like that.
• Yoga encourages me to strengthen my body, calm my mind, observe my thoughts, improve my breathing, become flexible and contribute to peace on earth.

If one of these reasons strikes a chord, Nancy looks forward to seeing you in a class soon!

Patrick Gass

In 2012, near the end of a 30-year career as a police officer, Patrick was really feeling the effects of decades of violence, fear, and negativity. The pain was intense, and some of it was even physical! The obvious solution to this was Yoga, as in, Patrick thought he should send his WIFE to yoga! As all Yogis come to learn, yoga finds you where you are when you are ready to heal and feel better, and Patrick was found when he agreed to go try yoga with his wife (who REALLY needed it!). Lao Tzu says "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.", and taking that one step, diving in, taking a chance on that first yoga class, changed Patrick's life for the better. The deeper he delved, the more answers appeared, ways to heal the body, acceptance that brought that heretofore elusive peace, feeling right about taking action for his own wellness. After retiring from the police department in early 2015 Patrick graduated from Indra's Grace Teacher Training as an RYT-200 and began sharing what he had learned about yoga.

As a student, Patrick has learned something about himself from all forms of yoga he has experienced..so far! As a teacher, Patrick has a heart for his fellow "non-traditional" yogis, those experienced humans, so his classes are designed for everybody, and every BODY. So Why, why yoga? Because yoga brings a shift in mind, body and spirit. Because nobody else can do our own healing, self-care requires self-reliance, action, openness to change. If you are curious, ready to give yoga a try, but would like a little guidance to find that perfect spot on the diving board to "jump in" from, Patrick would be honored to help! A great teacher once told Patrick to "teach what you know"(thanks Karen!), and Patrick knows getting started can be a challenge. This is even more true for many men, along with others who may not feel they will "fit in" at a public yoga class and would like to try it in a less public setting first.
Patrick is available for private teaching for men, either individual or small groups, as well as anyone who would like to be guided into starting a yoga practice. Patrick's private lessons are designed to get the new Yogi ready to find the practice and class that serves them best. You are WORTH your time, and effort! What we do for ourselves is not wasted. Your wellness is your best gift to the world. Namaste!

Caitlin Rose

My name is Caitlin, and I am passionate about making yoga accessible to everyone. I am a flutist, dreamer, enthusiastic thinker, and am constantly seeking balance in my body, in my life, and in my heart. I hold a BA in music from Tarleton State University, and received my RYT-200 certification with Sandra Vanatko from Indra’s Grace, to whom I am most grateful.

My classes blend therapeutic Hatha and intuition to help you open, strengthen and reconnect with your physical body in order to open, strengthen and reconnect with your heart. My goal is to establish a safe environment for you to decompress, let go of stress and worry, and feel what being in the present moment is really like.

Suzanne Rothrock

Suzanne's yoga journey began at the urging of a friend who had been trying to get her to class for years. She started classes at Indra's Grace one month after the studio opened and the rest is history! Suzanne earned her RYT-200 certification in January 2013, and her first student was her husband. David still attends the classes she teaches at their church. The practice of yoga has benefited Suzanne in many ways. Breath work has played a major role in her good health and flexibility has enabled her to keep up with her active grandchildren.

Outside of yoga classes, Suzanne works full-time for a local insurance agency, loves camping, reading, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Future plans include working toward her RYT-500 certification and continuing to share her love of yoga with everyone she meets.

Bonnie Terrell

Teaching Style:
My classes are challenging, yet grounding and fun. I teach from the heart, with compassion, and encourage students towards optimum growth and strength on and off their mat. I strive to create a “no pressure” atmosphere in class where students of all levels can feel free to try something new and explore yoga at their own pace. My hope is that students feel safe and supported, so that they may find moments of joy, peace and freedom through yoga. My classes include creative, progressive sequencing, along breath work and meditation, to gradually open the body and settle the mind. My style could best be described as “yoga fusion” - combining elements of traditional hatha, kundalini, vinyasa, yin, restorative and more. For me, choosing techniques from various yoga lineages allows for a transformative experience full of creativity, meaning and depth.

Experience and Certifications:
Yoga found me seven years ago when my husband and I moved to Palo Pinto County and I discovered a lovely little studio nestled at the base of Ward Mountain, Run’n Dawg Ridge Yoga and Wellness Studio. One class and I was hooked on the inner peace and fulfillment that I discovered on the mat. In January 2013, I completed my RYT-200 training through Indra’s Grace and in February of 2015 received my RYT-500 in Hatha through Yoga Yoga Austin, where I explored a wide range of styles and techniques.

Before Yoga:
I naturally approach yoga with both a creative and analytical mind, both hemispheres fighting for dominance at times. I have a Master’s of Science degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics, as well as B.A. degrees in Psychology and Sociology – each side of my brain well represented! My analytical nature has led me to spend a lot of time researching and understanding how yoga can impact us and my creative side thrills at the endless possibilities for sequencing classes. I am constantly amazed how each posture, breathing practice and mantra has been carefully designed based on scientific principles, and how when practiced correctly, can shape the way we think, act, feel and live. I enjoy the uniqueness of each class, built from the collective energy of those in attendance.

Yoga Thoughts:

Some things in life fill you with passion. Some things in life fill you with hope. Some things in life just speak to you. Yoga does all three for me! I feel yoga is one of the greatest gifts I can give myself and that a daily practice simply makes me a better person. My hope is that I will inspire others to embrace joyful living through a healthier lifestyle, using yoga as both a tool and catalyst for change.

Tai Tipton

Tai is a stay-at-home/homeschooling Mother of two. She has realized that as a busy Mom, wife and growing small businesses throughout her life that Yoga and Meditation is quite essential to having a mindfully balanced life. She realizes that being "human" has its challenges and practicing yoga has been a perfect way to accept what cannot be changed, throw out what can be changed and finding the truest meaning of 'Self-Love'. Under the training of Sandra Vanatko at Indra's Grace, Tai is an RYT-200 focused on the therapeutic aspects of Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation - Mind, Body, Soul. Tai has a clear vision of knowing she wants to share with students and that is what she has received from her wonderful teachers at Indra's Grace and from her Meditation teacher, Ajay Kapoor. Her philosophy is sharing from her heart, providing each student to feel into their bodies mindfully in a safe, loving space using breath and fluid moments. Her goal is to truly help others really move into their own Self to discover new possibilities, self-care, using acts of Self-love and freeing what no longer serves by freely exploring their body with connection to breath.

Katherine Walker

Katherine is an RYT-200 certified yoga instructor and founder of Reconnect, a wilderness yoga and white water rafting retreat, who has been teaching yoga to friends and family almost since she began her own home practice. She first experienced yoga through video and gym offerings and found the practice confusing and unsettling without the help of an intuitive teacher to guide her through the emotional aspects of the practice. In 2013, after attending a few weekend workshops with Sandra Vanatko at Indra's Grace, Katherine began an avid, vinyasa flow home practice, and found the practice of moving with breath so powerful she immediately began teaching anything she knew to anyone who would let her. Within a year, Katherine began attending classes at Indra's Grace, driving all the way from Dallas to Weatherford for the deeply impactful work she experienced there. In 2014 she began to formalize her teaching, offering free classes at work to help support her colleagues in relaxation, health, mindfulness and overall healing. Now, Katherine uses her year's of teaching experience across various disciplines, plus her own discoveries from personal and group practice to present classes based in functional movement to help clear the body, calm the mind and center the emotions. Having herself experienced the powerful healing benefits of yoga, she is passionate about sharing that work with others so they may experience greater freedom and abundance as they walk life's journey. Katherine completed her yoga teacher training at Indra's Grace with Sandra Vanatko in 2016.
