Lead Boatman, Luke Manifold, and his team of guides will not only get you safely down the river each day, they will make your comfort second only to safety. From waking up early to start the coffee to carrying your luggage, these guides do it all. They are your chefs, your valets and your entertainment all week, and they do it with warm smiles and a genuine desire to be of service.

The Middle Fork of the Salmon River

Universally regarded as the greatest wilderness white water river in the world, the Middle Fork of the Salmon River provides adventurers with an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy nature in a pristine wilderness setting.

You’ll spend 6 days rafting on 100 miles of crystal clear water, flowing through the heart of the largest federally protected wilderness area in the Continental United States.  With temperature highs ranging in the mid 80s and lows in the low 50s,  you’ll enjoy a refreshing break from the relentless Texas sun!

Wifi and cell service won’t reach you here, so your wilderness adventure won’t be spoiled by modern intrusions, giving you the best opportunity to immerse in the present and absorb the healing energy nature has to offer.

Wilderness Yoga

No matter where you practice yoga, it has a way of connecting you with the earth and nature. In this wilderness setting you will have opportunities to practice yoga, led by Kate Walker and Sandra Vanatko, in diverse and invigorating outdoor settings. Imagine moving through Sun Salutations as the sun rises and crests the canyon walls or practicing tree and mountain poses among their namesakes. Each day you will deepen your practice as we move further down the river, reconnecting with the most authentic you.

Camp Life

Each morning, after cooking a delicious breakfast including made to order eggs, the guides will pack up camp and a large boat called the sweep boat will head down river with all your gear. Then at the end of your fun day on the river, you will arrive in camp to find the tents will already be set up and waiting and the camp circle ready for sitting. All you do is chose a tent, tell the guides where you are so they can deliver your bag, and set up your cot. Camp life is easier than living at home and the meals are gourmet-delicious. You will be astonished at what your guides can carry and the meals they create on this trip.

“Hiding in what is comfortable robs you of your powerful ability to adapt, to explore, to wonder, to improve. Doing only what you’ve done before eats away at your options.” – Ralph Marston
