200 Hour Teacher Training Reviews

My 200hr-teacher training with Sandra has been nothing short of wonderful. I feel so confident in my teachings and what I’ve gained from Indra’s Grace. From the beginning I have felt supported, loved and challenged in all the good ways we need to be challenged. I came to Sandra in need of gaining strength in my body, mind and spirit and that is what I gain through my practice time and time again with the techniques I’ve been so blessed to have. I have a “tool belt” full of things to give my students as well as myself in my personal practice. I love that I am trained in a very classical way of Hatha Yoga. I’ve see tremendous improvements not only within my own health and lifestyle but with my students as well.

Sandra is a very genuine, well-thought out teacher with a sincere heart. She is intuitive and understanding, with a beautiful way to share her experiences and passion for yoga. She is authentic, sharing and compassionate. She brings a wealth of knowledge and many, many teachers and workshops to work with along the way to fuel your practice. It’s never boring and always inspiring to learn from her and all of the teachers she shares with us at Indra’s Grace. I will always hold a huge space in my heart for her as my teacher and mentor. Always grateful. I will always continue to train and be with my teacher. It’s a blessing. My heart is so full. – Tai Tipton

“Teacher training at Indra’s Grace is one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever done. I can’t believe the positive changes in my mind, body and spirit. Sandra and her staff are dedicated to the growth and enrichment of their students. You’ll find a welcoming community of caring, sharing individuals committed to brightening their corner of the world. Life-affirming and life-altering, teacher training at Indra’s Grace will guide you on the path to becoming your best self.  – Laurie Vanzura

Like several others in the Teacher Training class I attended at Indra’s Grace Yoga and Meditation Studio (March 2015-January 2016), I expected real quality. This expectation was a result of having been a student there, attending many classes and a few workshops taught by Sandra and her great staff. I also had witnessed the positive change in other people I knew well who had completed Indra’s program in the earlier classes. If you think you want to do teacher training simply to deepen your own practice, to work on yourself, Indra’s Grace program is for you. On the other hand, if you want to make a career as a yoga teacher, Indra’s Grace program is for you as well! So, what to expect? You will get to spend time with some great people who will uplift you, go deeply into the physical, spiritual, and lifestyle of yoga, and….change. Change is good. Since becoming a teacher, I have taught classes at various fitness centers and studios around the area. That first 5:15 am class, all on my own as the teacher, was when I REALLY appreciated how Sandra prepared each of us to offer yoga that is relevant and fun. Wherever your personal yoga journey takes you after you graduate, you will be well prepared to teach yoga that is for everybody, and every BODY. Hope to see you soon, “on the mat”, at Indra’s!    – Patrick Gass

I had been studying yoga at Indra’s Grace for over a year when the opportunity for teacher training was offered.  Although I was hesitant (did I want to be a teacher? could I make the timecommitment?), I welcomed the chance to immerse myself in more yoga.  The course was well prepared, covering a wide range of material, and included workshops at the studio and home study assignments.  The teachers:  Sandra Vanatko, John Stockberger, and Jenny Reitz; provided an incredible amount of instruction, practice, and encouragement.  Your commitment is key, but plenty of support is available.  The program stands alone as a valuable experience, regardless of what your plans are for your future.  However, it does provide the tools needed to begin your teaching path if that is what you choose.  I received a better understanding of the fundamentals and history of yoga; received instruction and practice of meditation, breathwork, mantras, and asanas (poses); studied anatomy, diet and nutrition; and I established my personal daily practice.  I learned the business fundamentals of teaching yoga and how to prepare class sequences, and I completed many hours of practice teaching to gain experience and confidence.  The added bonus was the connection I made with the other students.  The intensive format of the training allowed us to develop friendships with each other which have remained and will continue long after the completion of the training.  It was wonderful to watch everyone’s development over the 10 months, and each student completed with such strong knowledge and confidence.  I’m proud to have been a part of the 2015-16 class and will be forever grateful to Sandra, John, and Jenny. – Barbara Pursley
